How to promote your app for free using tappx
As everyone who follows me in Medium and my social networks will know, I recently launched my first app, but beyond the technological challenge of learning a new technology and combining different techniques and data management architecture, there is the part of getting users to the app
It has not been easy to reach the first thousand downloads without marketing budget to create download campaigns, so everything I have done has been organically through my networks, development groups and posts where I share my experience.
But in this search for promotional channels, I found a platform where you can create campaigns both to monetize your app and to get new users: TAPPX.
How does TAPPX work?
Its way of working is easy since it is based on an exchange system, that is, you can consume what you generate on the platform without having to invest real money.
For this they have created a digital currency called “TAPPIX”. You can get coins showing ads in your app from other users who want to promote their own downloads, but also offer 3 additional methods:
- 50,000 TAPPIX: Invite friends to join with a referral link.
- 10,000 TAPPIX: Create a post on your blog (Like this one for example).
- 15,000 TAPPIX: For each additional app you add.
It is important to mention that each click that our campaign generates will cost us 500 coins, in the same way, each click obtained through the promotion of other developers will give us 500 coins.

Implementation
I was surprised to see how simple the implementation was, you just have to follow the steps in the integration guide. In my case I followed the guide to add the SDK in Android Studio.
All the steps worked correctly for the integration of the SDK, but the documentation does not include details on how to show the ads from Flutter so I wrote to the support email and they indicated that I could use Admob.
In my app I have the independent Admob call for featured ideas, so I chose these to show TAPPX ads and the rest to show my regular Adsense ads.
At the time of writing this post my app has less than 48 hours of having launched with the integration and I see interesting activity in the reports of the platform, so I plan to do the same integration for my second app.
